An even darker gig was Dinosaur Jr and Built To Spill in the main room at the O2 Academy in Birmingham, on the 16th of May. Apparently the band had actually requested the lowest light possible…

Don’t know what it is, but there’s been a theme for the last few gigs I’ve been to of the band requesting as little light as possible… My overriding thought is, if somebody doesn’t really want to be seen then why did they join a band and get on the stage to begin with?

Great gig at the Wulfrun last Friday night. Levellers still pulling the crowds and giving it all they’ve got. Had the photo pit to myself again, which was a surprise…

Some really extreme lighting at the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club gig at the Wulfun Hall last night, and instead of fighting it I decided to try and embrace it – forget about burn out, etc just go with the flow and see what happens. …at least they did last Sunday. I’ve been waiting to see The Primitives live for over 20 years, and I’m glad to say they didn’t disappoint!
Next up BRMC tomorrow night – as I enter into another busy gig period
